Sandy Furst

Portraitures and Figure Drawing

Sandy Furst has been studying and drawing the human form starting at an early age. She received a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD. Working mostly in graphite and charcoal on paper, Sandy explores the play of light in figure drawing and portraiture. Sandy also studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. A member of the Center for Contemporary Art, Sandy is greatly influenced by the American Masters and continues to study the human form and how it responds to light. Born and raised in New Jersey, Sandy and her husband Jim live in Basking Ridge with their five children.
