Cindy L. Wagner
Vibrantly Colored Still Life Pastels
Inspiration comes from life and what we see. Cindy Wagner gets inspired by the Impressionism and Fauvism movements of art when it comes to her pastels. Cindy’s pastels are works that emphasize the use of strong color rather than the realistic values of a still life from which she works. Color, when pushed, can create amazing effects and with her pastels that is what she strives for.
Cindy has an Associate's Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Visual Communications along with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. She has furthered her art studies at the Art Students League in New York, where she is a Life Member, learning about color and composition in oils and pastels. Additionally, she is a member of the Salmagundi Club in NYC and she has studied portraits with John Howard Sanden in several of his conferences. Her work is in many collections in the United States and Europe.
