Joanne Borek

Landscape art: Photography, Mixed Media

At age 17, Joanne was already a published photographer with the Associated Press when she entered Rochester Institute of Technology for her BFA in Photographic Illustration. Completed by age 20, she hit New York City at the rise of the dotcom era. With exclusive access to some of the world's newest technology in digital cameras, she became Imaging Director for NYC's first digital photography studio with Fortune 100 clientele. She earned her MFA in Media Arts from WPU while transitioning her career into the dotcom business, and her photography into her personal art. Her work has been published in National Geographic, LA Times, NY Times, PDN, and is in private collections in the US, Europe, and Brazil. When not traveling, capturing images, or running her own digital media business, she is an Adjunct Professor of Digital Marketing in NYU's SPS graduate program. A NJ native, she lives in Basking Ridge.
