Asian Brush Paintings, Florals and Landscapes


Regina DeFrancisco has taught art at all levels, most recently at Villa Walsh Academy and the Bernards Township District. Over the past five years as a Red Cross volunteer at Walter Reed National Medical Center, she developed and delivered an innovative Healing Arts Program for wounded warriors with post-traumaatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). She has conducted Healing Arts workshops at numerous military bases in Europe and Asia.  A member of the National Sumi-e Society, her current work is strongly influenced by traditional Asian painting and is executed with the traditional materials of ink, paint, and rice paper.  Her works have been shown is many juried and non-juried shows.  A Basking Ridge resident, Regina graduated from the College of Mount Saint Vincent (BS Art Ed) and she received an MA in Fine Art and Education from Adelphi University.
